Trapshooting
Want to improve your wing shooting and maybe bag a few more pheasants next season? Want to connect with other shooters and have a good time enjoying the shooting sports or maybe you’re looking for a way to introduce a new shooter, son or daughter to the sport? Why not check out our Trap program? The Traps are open to all and you need not be a member to shoot during our open hours. New shooters are always welcome and there are plenty of experienced members happy to help you get started. We have a variety of shooting options: Singles Trap from the 16 yd. line, Handicap Trap that will test your long range shooting skills from 23 yds. all the way out to 25 yds. and Wobble. While the standard trap oscillates horizontally the Wobble trap oscillates both horizontally and vertically and is shot from 5 elevated stands placed directly behind the trap house. Wobble shooters are offered a single and then two pairs at each station presenting a great warmup for hunting season! Bring your shotgun, shells, eye and hearing protection and join us! If you want to try your hand at Trap but don’t have everything you need, come out anyway, we have eye and hearing protection to share and even have a few (very nice) club-owned shotguns available if you would like to try Trap before you buy one of your own. All you need to bring is a couple of boxes (2) of either 12 or 20 GA shells shot size 7 ½ or 8. The cost to shoot is only $8.00 per round (50 targets) and our open shooting times are: Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm, and Thursdays from 4 to 8 pm If you have any questions please call Kevin at 717-706-1109.
ATTENTION PLEASE
To prevent messes like the one above at the trap range, please make sure that when stacking clays, only do so in front of the trap boxes, never on top of them.
